A page view example of our 'update records' (screen-shot of 'Safari' web browser on MacOSX). Note that headline (level 1 and 2) texts have a hazy shadow behind them, by the effect of text-shadow property of Cascading Style Sheet level 2.

Note: Owing to a miss-handling glitch of Japanese font styles, this 'Safari' browser (v 125.9) is currently unable to apply Japanese Mincho (serifed) font to <h1> element (headline level 1) designated by font-family property of CSS, unlike the above screenshot. (2004. 9.10)
Additional note: Eventually we have decided to change our stylesheet and apply font-family: serif style to headlines level 1. Previously, our stylesheet had been adjusted in consideration of a different glitch of another browser which was widely used in the past. cf: update record on 2004. 7.11 (in Japanese). (2004. 9.12)
なお、この「Safari」ブラウザ (v 125.9) は、font-family プロパティでの日本語フォント指定の扱いに不具合があります。当サイトのスタイルシートは、日本語ページではフォント名を直接指定していますが、このブラウザでは <h1>要素（見出しレベル１）が指定通りの明朝体になりません。上のスクリーンショットは、その指定を修正しています。(2004. 9.10)
追記：結局、スタイルシートを変更して、日本語ページでも font-family: serif を指定することにしました。これまでのfont-family プロパティによる日本語フォント名直接指定は、過去に広く普及していた別のウェブブラウザの CSS バグ（font-family: serif を指定すると日本語テキストでも欧文セリフ付書体で表示してしまう）に配慮したものでした。参考：更新履歴 2004. 7.11 (2004. 9.12)
